  6.      This sequence of the finale of Rachmaninoff's 2nd Symphony
  7. was done with the Proteus 2 with the help of a Roland JV1080's
  8. Bass Clarinet program (there being too many instruments for
  9. the Proteus 2 to play them all).
  10.  
  11.      All transposing instruments are presented in concert pitch
  12. (i.e. all the transpositions have been made), even though the
  13. Proteus 2 does these automatically for the piccolo and basses
  14. (for some reason the glockenspiel is only tranposed up one
  15. octave instead of two).

  17.      Program changes within tracks: I've had to do a little
  18. of this to minimize the number of channels needed. There are
  19. notes at the beginning of the affected tracks, but not all
  20. sequencers can read them, so here they are:

  22.      Timpani track--uses Tremolo Strings program in bars 461-462
  23.  
  24.      Tremolo Strings track--uses the Pizzicato Violins program in
  25.      bars 102, 249-251, 290-292, 294-296 and the Pizzicato Basses
  26.      program in bars 232-237.

  28.     Also, to keep the number of channels used down the bowed and
  29. pizzicato strings share tracks. Look for program changes if
  30. you don't use a Proteus 2. In addition, the sharp-eyed among you
  31. will notice that the Tremolo Strings and the Glockenspiel share
  32. a channel. As noted above, there are also other programs in the
  33. Tremolo Strings track at times.
